Wednesday Workshop Shuttles: Shuttles for the Wednesday Workshops will be running from the south entrance at the Winfield City Lake beginning at 8 am and approx. every half hour thereafter on Wednesday only.

Attention Walnut Valley Festival Workers

Sunday Worker’s Meeting Canceled

The meetings scheduled for Walnut Valley Festival Workers on Sunday, September 11th has been canceled. It will NOT be rescheduled.

When the Re-Entry Trailer is back in place and unless you have been contacted by Re-Entry Staff all workers should plan to show up for your scheduled shifts at the allotted times. Anyone who has questions about their job should arrive early at the Re-Entry Trailer and they will help you with your questions and any concerns you may have.

The City of Winfield does not have the capacity to expand electric hook-ups in the camping areas of the city lake at this time. Statement concerning Walnut Valley Campgrounds

Winfield, KS… From the Walnut Valley Association Ticket Trailer- Sales of camping spaces will continue with campers being able to camp at the Winfield City Lake (North east of Winfield; located at 10348 141st Road) for no additional fee. The City of Winfield will honor Walnut Valley Festival Camping Credentials.

Walnut Valley Festival App available

New for 2016, the Festival now has a Guidebook app for Apple and Android devices. This app contains the schedule for stage acts, artist biographies, and even some social media connection options (although around the Festival we usually call that a campfire.. or a portajohn line).

The app is available in the Apple or Android stores, and we recommend downloading it before the Festival to save your data bytes.

2016 NewSongs winners

The Walnut Valley Festival and NewSongs coordinators Still on the Hill are proud to announce the 2016 Walnut Valley NewSongs winners and alternates. Come out and give our songwriters a big round of appreciation at the showcases. Thursday on Stage 2, Saturday on Stage 3.

August 15th anyone wishing to line up for the Walnut Valley Festival may do so

The City of Winfield and K&O Steam and Gas Engine organization have agreed to permit attendees of the Walnut Valley Festival to begin forming early lines for camping beginning today, August 15th. The line-up is under the supervision of the Walnut Valley Association but any fees due will be payable to the organization that has control of the Winfield Fairgrounds depending on the date you are joining the line-up. The early line-up will be located in the area northeast of the horse barn area again this year.

2016 Wyoming State Guitar Champions Announced

Nick Johnson, Pleasant Grove, Utah took top honors at the Wyoming State Finger Style Guitar Championship while Daniel Richard, Fort Towson, Oklahoma won the Wyoming State Flat Pick Guitar Championship. Both competitions are sponsored by the Oyster Ridge Music Festival held in Kemmerer, Wyoming held July 22nd through 24th.

Guy Benson, from Salt Lake City, Utah won second place in the Wyoming State Finger Style Guitar Championship, while Brad Tew, Springville, Utah won third place.

2016 Mid-East Regional Dulcimer Champions Announced

Coshocton Dulcimer Days Festival celebrated three days of workshops, concerts and competitions June 17th -- 19th at Roscoe Village in Coshocton, Ohio.

The Mid-East Regional Dulcimer Championships were featured during the Sunday concert.

Winners of the 2016 Mid-East Regional Mountain Dulcimer Championship are: 1st Place: Christine Shoemaker, Clawson, MI 2nd Place: Tish Westman, Beckley, WV 3rd Place: J.D. LaBash, Austintown, OH
